ESCONDIDO, CA. -  Arson is thought to be the cause of a brush fire near Lake Wohlford that charred more then 500 acres and destroyed nine houses Friday afternoon.
No injuries were reported from the fire, but two pilots are recovering from injuries suffered when their water scooping plane flipped over in the San Vicente Reservoir. Both are in satisfactory condition at Sharp Memorial Hospital.

ESCONDIDO, CA. - Residents will begin the rebuilding process after fire destroyed several homes near Lake Wohlford Friday afternoon. The picture (left) above shows what remains of one house. Property damage is estimated at $1,750,000 including 11 homes, 15 out buildings and 30 vehicles. Fortunately no serious injuries have been reported.
