and was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries
were reported.
In a
separate incident, a border patrol agent shot at the driver
of a vehicle who he said tried to run him over. The agent attempted
to make a traffic stop on a white pickup truck in Potrero Sunday
shortly before 7am. The driver initially fled but stopped after
a short pursuit. The agent began to approach the truck and that
is when the driver allegedly put the truck in reverse and accelerated.
The agent opened fire as the truck drove off. Agents located
the abandoned truck not far away. The driver has not been located.
The agent was not injured in the incident.
