DIEGO, CA. - First round play at the Buick Invitational began Thursday
at Torrey Pines Golf Club. Ted Tryba shot a seven under par 65 to
take a one stroke lead. Following Tryba four other players are tied
at six under. The second round is scheduled to begin Friday morning
at 10am. |

Paulson (photo left) of Vista was 7 under after the
first nine holes Friday and finished with an 8 under 64. That's
just one stroke behind the leader Ted Tryba. Behind Tryba
at -14 and Paulson at -13 is Frank Lickliter at -11 and Billy
Ray Brown at -10. Third round play is scheduled to begin Saturday
at 8:30am PT. |

Woods shot a blistering 10 under par 62 Saturday, setting
a new course record at Torrey Pines South and taking a one
stroke lead in the Buick Invitational. Behind Tiger at -15,
is Billy Ray Brown at -14 then Kevin Sutherland, Bill Glasson
and Frank Lickliter all at -13. Final round play begins
Sunday at 8:30am PT. |

DIEGO, CA. - Tiger Woods started the final round of the Buick
Invitational with a one stroke lead over Billy Ray Brown Sunday
at Torrey Pines Golf Club. The two battled throughout the
day and after 17 holes were tied for the lead at -20. That's
when Tiger took control. |

Ray Brown struggled to save par on the #18 par 5 while Tiger
put his second shot about ten 10' from the pin then knocked
it in for an eagle. |
